Erply POS System Review 2027: Pricing, Plans and Verdict

How we make money: CanComCo earns a commission from some POS and payments vendors when a business we refer signs up. Commission never changes a rating or a price we publish.

Erply at a Glance

Starting price $59 per store, with a second unlabeled column at $49. Multichannel chains $199 (or $179), POS for NETSUITE from $1,800, Franchise and Chain from $3,500.
Sales ceiling on the low tiers Both Giftshop and Grocery chain and Multichannel chains state they are intended for net sales up to $25,000 a month.
Payment processing fee None published. Erply does not process payments. It names Shift4, Cayan, Adyen and Pax as integrated processors, so the rate comes from a separate contract.
Contract and cancellation Monthly or annual, with annual discounted. Payment due in advance by recurring credit or debit card charge. Cancellation requires a written request 30 days ahead, to billing@erply.com. Downgrades carry no refund for already billed services.
Free trial or free plan A free account with no credit card required, with no duration stated. Capterra records "Free version not included" and a free trial as available. The two do not agree.
Hardware None priced. The pricing page sells software licenses. A mobile POS app is included from the entry tier, with flexible hardware and Bluetooth peripheral support.
Currency Not stated. The page uses "$" with no currency code anywhere.
Standout Every tier is itemized, and the contract terms are published rather than hidden.
Biggest weakness 44 published reviews in total across both sources, and they disagree by 0.8.
Price-source conflicts The page title says "Plans Starting at $49/month", the meta description says "from $59/month... to $1,200+/month", and the body shows $59 and $3,500. Three entry figures and two franchise figures on one page.

Erply Pricing: What You'll Actually Pay

Erply itemizes every tier, which puts it ahead of most vendors on this site. What it does not do is label its two price columns, name its currency, or agree with itself about where pricing starts.

Plans

PlanPrice shownSecond columnWhat it includes
Giftshop and Grocery chain$59 per store$49 per store1 user account, 1 POS terminal, basic POS, basic sales reports, basic CRM, mobile POS app, integrated payments, mPOS, emailed receipts, flexible hardware, Bluetooth peripherals, pop-up shop support. The two price columns are not labeled. A Monthly/Annual toggle sits above the cards, but nothing on the cards says which set belongs to which billing period. We are not going to guess for you.

The page disagrees with itself twice. Its title says "Plans Starting at $49/month". Its meta description says pricing runs "from $59/month for single-location shops to $1,200+/month for franchise chains". The body shows $59 as the lowest price and $3,500 for Franchise and Chain. The $1,200 figure appears nowhere in the page body.

THE CEILING NOBODY MENTIONS

Both lower tiers state they are intended for net sales up to $25,000 a month.

That applies to Giftshop and Grocery chain at $59 and to Multichannel chains at $199. The $199 tier buys real inventory, purchasing and ecommerce capability, but it does not buy headroom.

As a share of that ceiling: $59 divided by $25,000 = 0.24% of monthly net sales. $199 divided by $25,000 = 0.80%.

A retailer growing past $25,000 a month in net sales needs to ask Erply what happens next, because the published tier above Multichannel is POS for NETSUITE at $1,800, a jump of roughly nine times.

Payment processing

Transaction typeRate

Erply does not process payments. It names Shift4, Cayan, Adyen and Pax as integrated processors, and says it can integrate your bank and EMV. Your rate comes from a separate contract with one of them, which means a second negotiation and a cost this page cannot show you.

Contract terms, published plainly

Erply states that payment is due in advance at the start of each billing cycle, taken as a recurring credit or debit card charge. Contracts run monthly or annually, with discounts for annual or longer terms. Cancellation requires a written request 30 days before the cancellation and end of billing take effect, sent to billing@erply.com. Downgrading carries no refund for services already billed.

That 30-day clause is a constraint. It is also more than Toast, Clover, Cova or Epos Now publish, none of which states a cancellation policy at all. A published constraint beats an unknown one.

REAL MONTHLY COST

A two-store retailer on Multichannel chains:

Software: 2 x $199 = $398 a month

Card processing: not Erply's, and not published. A separate contract with Shift4, Cayan, Adyen or Pax.

Compare Shopify POS, where both halves are published. Basic is $39 a month, the POS Pro add-on is $89 a month per location, so two stores cost $39 + (2 x $89) = $217 a month, with in-person processing published at 2.6% + 10 cents. On $20,000 a month across 1,000 transactions that is $520.00 + $100.00 = $620.00, giving $837.00 all in and knowable.

Erply's $398 is lower than Shopify's $217 plus nothing, but you cannot complete the comparison, because the processing line is a separate negotiation. Get a quote from one of the four named processors before you compare Erply to anything.

Erply Features: What Works and What Doesn't

Written from Erply's published pages and from review data on G2 and Capterra. No one at CanComCo has operated this product.

What Erply actually is

Judge this as retail ERP with a POS attached, not as a till. Erply's own description spans ERP with loyalty and promotions, point of sale with self-checkout, a warehouse management system, business intelligence and a documented API. That framing explains the price range: $59 and $3,500 are not two versions of the same product, they are different products sharing a platform. Compare it to Lightspeed or Shopify at the low end and to a retail ERP at the high end.

Point of sale, and the entry tier's limits

The $59 tier gives one user account and one POS terminal, with basic POS, basic sales reports and basic CRM, a mobile POS app, emailed receipts and integrated payments. Support is email only, and back-office access is not included. Erply itself describes it as POS for shops with small stock. Read that as a till with a report, not a system. The real starting point for a working retail operation is Multichannel chains at $199 per store.

Inventory, purchasing and warehouse

This is where Erply earns its keep. Multichannel chains at $199 adds a warehouse license and a real-time inventory backend, with product management, supplier management, purchasing and receiving, packing lists, barcode labels, cycle counts, kitting and mobile inventory. Barcode label printing is confirmed; barcode scanning is not named in the material we read, which is worth checking if you scan at the till. Full WMS capability arrives at the NetSuite and Franchise tiers.

Franchise and chain control

The $3,500 tier is a different proposition: franchise HQ and chain HQ modules, multi-store POS, a customer database with API access up to 10 million records, stated support for over 900 registers and over 800 locations, an EDI integration option, a sandbox account, a dedicated SLA, a dedicated account team and over 200 custom add-on modules. For a franchise group that is a credible shortlist entry. For anyone else it is irrelevant, and the gap between $199 and $3,500 is where most buyers will need a conversation.

The NetSuite tier

"POS for NETSUITE" from $1,800 is close to a category of one. No other vendor on this site publishes a NetSuite-specific product. It includes a POS with inventory license, advanced reporting, a customer database up to 1 million records with API access, gift cards and store credit, promotions, quotes, sales orders, invoices, commission calculations, wholesale and house accounts. If you already run NetSuite, this is the row that matters.

What is not confirmed

Product variants, barcode scanning at the till, split checks, tip management, kitchen display, table management, appointment booking, employee time tracking and payroll, offline mode and multi-currency are all absent from the material we read. Multi-user permissions are implied by the per-tier user account counts but no permissions model is published.

Feature lists verified against erply.com/pricing and Capterra in November 2026.

Hardware and Setup

Erply prices software licenses, not hardware. The pricing page names no terminal, printer, drawer or scanner and attaches no price to any device, so budget for hardware separately and get it quoted before you commit.

What the page does say about hardware is encouraging for a retailer who already owns some. The entry tier lists a mobile POS app, flexible hardware, Bluetooth peripheral support and pop-up shop support, which together point at a bring-your-own-device model rather than a locked hardware line. Supported device lists were not published on the pages we read, so confirm your tablets and peripherals before buying. Self-checkout appears in Erply's own product description with no price attached.

Erply publishes no setup timeline, so we give none. What it does publish about onboarding sits at the top of the range: customized onboarding, project management and transition services appear only on the Franchise and Chain tier at $3,500. A $59 or $199 customer is self-onboarding with email support.

Customer Support: What to Expect When Things Break

Support here is tiered more sharply than the price list suggests, and Erply is explicit about it.

The $59 tier is email only. The pricing page states that plainly, alongside no back-office access. For a shop mid-trade with a till problem, email is thin.

The $3,500 tier gets a dedicated SLA and a dedicated account team, plus customized onboarding, project management and transition services.

The two middle tiers are unspecified. Nothing we read says what support Multichannel chains at $199 or POS for NETSUITE at $1,800 actually buys. If you are shortlisting either, make that a question.

Capterra scores Customer Service 3.9 out of 5 from 30 reviews. On a sample that small the figure carries little weight in either direction, and Capterra publishes no pros-and-cons summary for Erply at all. Support hours, languages, escalation paths and a status page are not published.

Erply Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Every tier is itemized. Four plans, each with its inclusions listed. Toast, Clover and Cova all leave at least one tier unpriced or unitemized.
  • Contract terms are published, not hidden. Payment in advance by recurring card charge, monthly or annual with annual discounted, and cancellation by written request 30 days ahead. Four other vendors we review publish no cancellation policy at all.
  • A dedicated NetSuite tier. From $1,800, with POS, inventory, advanced reporting, a 1 million customer database and API access. No other vendor here publishes a NetSuite-specific product.
  • Serious franchise and chain capability. Stated support for 900+ registers and 800+ locations, HQ modules, EDI, WMS, a sandbox, a dedicated SLA and 200+ custom add-on modules.
  • Real inventory depth at $199. A warehouse license, purchasing and receiving, cycle counts, kitting, supplier management and an ecommerce API, which is more than most POS vendors put at that price.
  • Bring-your-own hardware. Flexible hardware and Bluetooth peripheral support from the entry tier, with no vendor hardware line to buy into.

Cons

  • Both lower tiers cap at $25,000 a month in net sales. The $199 tier buys capability but not headroom, and the next published step up is $1,800.
  • The $59 tier is not a working shop system. One user, one terminal, email-only support, no back-office access. Do not compare it to Square's $0 or Shopify's $39.
  • 44 published reviews in total, disagreeing by 0.8. G2 3.4 from 13, Capterra 4.2 from 31. Neither supports a confident verdict.
  • No card processing of its own. Shift4, Cayan, Adyen or Pax means a second contract and a second negotiation before you know your real cost.
  • The page contradicts itself on price. Title says $49, meta description says $59 and "$1,200+/month" for franchise, body says $59 and $3,500. Two unlabeled price columns per plan and no currency code anywhere.
  • 30 days written notice, and no refund on downgrade. Clear, published, and still a constraint you should plan around.

This profile suits a multi-store, franchise or NetSuite retailer that will read the contract and negotiate processing separately. It frustrates a single small shop reading the $59 headline, and anyone who needs one number to compare.

How the 3.8 was calculated. The unweighted mean of the product-specific published scores: G2 3.4 + Capterra 4.2 = 7.6, divided by 2 = 3.8.

Why you should hold it loosely. 13 reviews and 31 reviews is 44 in total, and the two disagree by 0.8 in opposite directions from the mean. Unlike other pages on this site where one large sample anchors the result, here nothing anchors it. A handful of new reviews on either platform would move this number visibly. Treat 3.8 as a placeholder for evidence rather than a verdict, and weigh the published facts about tiers, ceilings and contract terms more heavily than the score.

Capterra publishes no pros-and-cons summary for Erply, which it does publish for most products on this site. With 31 reviews there is not enough material for it to generate one. That absence is itself the clearest signal about how much third-party evidence exists.

No recurring themes. We did not read the 44 individual reviews, and 44 reviews split across two platforms with no published summary cannot support a themes claim.

Best Erply Alternatives

Verified November 2026.

  • Lightspeed Retail

Consider this for specialty retail that wants purchasing depth without an ERP-sized price.

Basic $89, Core $149 and Plus $289 a month on Lightspeed's own page, with purchase orders, PO sync and landed costs on all three tiers, 24/7 phone and chat support on every tier, and a published card-present rate of 1.5%. Capterra scores it 4.0 from 976 reviews, more than twenty times Erply's 31. You give up: the NetSuite tier and the franchise HQ modules. Note a price mismatch of its own: Capterra lists Lightspeed's starting price as $109 while Lightspeed's page says $89.

    From $89/month.

  • Shopify POS

Consider this where the multichannel requirement is really online plus one or two shops.

Basic $39, Grow $105, Advanced $399 and Plus $2,300 a month, with in-person card rates published against each plan at 2.6% + 10 cents, 2.5% + 10 cents and 2.4% + 10 cents. One catalog and inventory across web and store. A 3-day free trial, then three months at $1 a month. You give up: franchise HQ control and the NetSuite integration. Budget properly: the POS Pro add-on is $89 a month per location on top of the plan, so Basic alone is not a full store system.

From $39/month plus $89 per location for POS Pro.

  • KORONA POS

Consider this for inventory-heavy retail wanting flat per-terminal pricing.

Core $59, Retail $79 and Plus $99 per terminal per month, with an unlimited free trial, no credit card required, and no forced contracts. At $59 per terminal this is the genuinely comparable small-retail price that Erply's $59 tier is not. You give up: ERP, WMS and franchise modules.

From $59 per terminal per month.

Erply FAQ

How much does Erply cost?

Four tiers: Giftshop and Grocery chain at $59 per store, Multichannel chains at $199 per store, POS for NETSUITE from $1,800 and Franchise and Chain from $3,500. Each plan also shows a second, lower price column, $49 and $179 on the two lower tiers, which the page does not label. Erply publishes no currency code, only a dollar sign.

Is the $59 plan a usable POS?

For most shops, no. It gives one user account, one POS terminal, basic POS, basic reports and basic CRM, with email-only support and no back-office access. Erply describes it as POS for shops with small stock. The realistic starting point for a working retail operation is Multichannel chains at $199 per store.

Is there a revenue limit on Erply's plans?

Yes, and it is easy to miss. Both Giftshop and Grocery chain and Multichannel chains state they are intended for net sales up to $25,000 a month. The next published tier is POS for NETSUITE from $1,800, so ask Erply what happens between $25,000 a month and that tier.

What are Erply's card processing fees?

None are published. Erply does not process payments. It names Shift4, Cayan, Adyen and Pax as integrated processors, and says it can integrate your bank and EMV, so your rate comes from a separate contract with one of them.

How do I cancel Erply?

By written request, 30 days before the cancellation and end of billing take effect, sent to billing@erply.com. Payment is taken in advance at the start of each billing cycle as a recurring credit or debit card charge, and downgrading carries no refund for services already billed.

Is there an Erply free trial?

Erply offers a free account with no credit card required and states no duration. Capterra records "Free version not included" alongside a free trial as available. The two sources do not agree, so confirm what you are getting before you rely on it.

Why do the prices on Erply's pricing page disagree?

The page title says plans start at $49 a month, the meta description says $59 a month and "$1,200+/month" for franchise chains, and the body shows $59 as the lowest price and $3,500 for Franchise and Chain. The $1,200 figure appears nowhere in the body. Ask a salesperson to confirm the figure for the tier you want.

Does Erply integrate with NetSuite?

Yes, through a dedicated tier. "POS for NETSUITE" from $1,800 includes a POS with inventory license, advanced reporting, a customer database up to 1 million records with API access, gift cards, promotions, wholesale and house accounts. No other vendor we review publishes a NetSuite-specific product.

Is Erply Right for Your Business?

Erply does two things better than most vendors on this site. It itemizes every tier, so you can work out which one you actually need instead of booking a call to find out. And it publishes its contract terms: payment in advance by recurring card charge, monthly or annual, and cancellation by written request 30 days ahead. Four other vendors we review publish no cancellation policy at all, so a stated 30-day constraint is a feature of the disclosure even while it is a constraint on you. Add a franchise tier with real chain capability and a NetSuite tier almost nobody else offers, and the shortlist case is clear for a specific buyer.

That buyer is a multi-store, franchise or NetSuite retailer. Everyone else should read the small print first. The $59 headline buys one user, one terminal and no back-office access, and both lower tiers are capped at $25,000 a month in net sales, with the next published tier nine times the price. Erply processes no cards, so your real cost needs a separate quote from Shift4, Cayan, Adyen or Pax before you can compare it to anything. And the evidence base is thin: 44 published reviews in total, disagreeing by 0.8, with Capterra unable to generate a pros-and-cons summary at all. Shortlist Erply on what it publishes about itself, which is more than most, and not on what its customers have said, because almost none of them have.

Our final rating: 3.8 / 5
